Doughboys with a tie

I don't see many Great War photos with an American soldier wearing a tie. Especially such a wide one. He is wearing M1910 leggings so it does put him the WWI era.

Here is a doughboy with a more respectable tie. He is wearing M1917 leggings while the soldier to his right has M1910 Leggings on. Both cards are undated and printed in America.
