SMS König Wilhelm and SMS Charlotte

The SMS König Wilhelm and the SMS Charlotte at the Naval Academy at Mürwik. The König Wilhelm was used as a floating barracks and training vessel. The Charlotte its support ship. The two ships were together from 1910 to 1917 when the Charlotte was replaced with the Medusa.

  1. Great but sad to see those ships as "floating barracks"! My great-grandfather served on the SMS Charlotte as young naval officer from 1898-1900 when the Charlotte was till used as training fregatte - a real beauty at that time!
