Snowball fight
The soldier on the left has the only readable collar patch. It places him with the 7th Regiment.
Not only is the fellow on the right about to get a face full of snow he is also getting his foot stepped on.

Marching through town
French troops marching through a French town. The civilian population is there to see them with plenty of flags flying so it is a great occasion. It is undated so I can't say that they are marching off to the front early in the war.

Osnabrück, Germany
A mixed group from the 25th, 31st and 33rd Infantry Regiments. The lower left corner is faintly embossed "A Funke Phot. Osnabrück". There was a prisoner of war camp near Osnabrück but my guess is that this is post war. The clean uniforms and medals makes me think that these soldiers are on occupation duty.

Virgil Cross
Virgil Cross with the 119th Field Artillery. They were at Camp MacArthur in Waco, Texas from August, 1917 before heading to France in February, 1918.
General Pershing called the 119th "The legion of hell itself...disheveled and uncut, a rowdy and miscreant lot, who fight like demonic lions and drink like gods, but in all, no better men than to have with you in combat!"
