A French hospital with an ambulance out front. This was close enough to the front to warrant a red cross on the roof of the building.

Herbert Albert Krueger

A card from Private Krueger of Brillion, Wisconsin to his father while on occupation duty in Germany. Curiously the card starts off Dear Father but is address to Fred Glassow. Fred is listed on Herbert's draft card as his employer. 

111th Machine Gun Battalion

Members of the 111th Machine Gun Battalion upon their return to the United States after the war. Part of the 29th Infantry Division they would have seen action during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.

A mule drawn parade float. This was constructed by a machine gun company at Camp Cody, New Mexico.

American Supply Column

An American supply column traveling through an area close to the front. The center truck is a FWD Model B. The other ones appear to be Liberty Trucks.

Artillery Damage

No written explanation on this card. It looks like someone took a picture showing the artillery damage just above the bed they were sleeping in.

Breech Cover

A poor quality photo but one of the few I have seen where the rifles are fitted with a breech cover. This also makes the rifles difficult to identify. I believe they are M1917 Endfields.
The soldiers here are marching through an American town. They are lucky enough to have trucks to carry their packs.
