St. Maixent, France


St. Maixent was home to the Air Service Replacement Concentration Barracks. It was the first stop for Air Service personnel arriving in France. It also housed 4 officer training schools.
Jack Landau was 22 at the time this picture was taken. He is listed as a 2nd Lieutenant, Aviation Section, Signal Reserve Corps after the war.

Only one of these Americans has any insignia. The fellow standing second from the left has what may be one for the Air Service on his cap. John Lick is seated center front as noted on the back.
