Vater Frank


A member on the 30th Landwehr Regiment identified as father Frank with other members of his company constructing what appears to be a bomb shelter. The roof is made of railway rails. The 30th Landwehr Regiment was in the Lorraine sector between Moselle and Abaucort in 1915.

12th Landstrum Battalion

A group with the XVIII Army Korps 12th Landstrum Battalion. This must have been well behind the front as the pioneers who built the structure behind them took the time to add a biplane over the door as well as a carving of a bird.
