A two year veteran of the 61th Infantry Regiment with some younger members.

French occupied Mainz

110e Regiment officers

Some officers of the 110e Regiment. The soldier fifth from the left is wearing the Légion d'Honneur and a Medaille Militare as well as a third medal I cannot identify.

Willie X

Willie just after the war in Glasgow. He wears the cap badge of the Corps of Royal Engineers.

Sergeant with Queen's South Africa Medal

A sergeant with his family. He has a Queen's South Africa medal given for his service in the Boer War. The clasps are hard to read but they might be South Africa 1901, Transvaal, Orange Free State and Cape Colony.

Dorsetshire Regiment

The cap badge is not clear but it looks like it is the Dorsetshire Regiment although it could be the Dorset Regiment.

Adrian Helmet and bonnet de police

A mixed group of French soldiers. 2 of the them have the helmets of the infantry and 2 of the artillery. The rest have on the bonnet de police.

South Wales Borderers

The soldier on the right has what looks like the sleeve patch of The South Wales Borderers. With the tropical uniforms they are most likely with the 2nd Battalion which was posted to India after the war.

Model 1915 Bluse

These gentlemen are wearing the model 1915 bluse. The Bavarian War Ministry opted to keep the collar the same color as the uniform. The Prussian War Ministry adopted a dark green collar.

Karl Pöpping

Karl Pöpping is a non-commissioned officer as indicated by the button on his collar. The smaller size of them would mean he was a Gefreiter.

Suffolk Regiment

A total of twenty three battalions of The Suffolk Regiment were raised during the war.

Two Belgian Carabiniers. The one on the right is wearing a Croix de Guerre with bronze lion attachment. The bronze lion attachment is for mention in a dispatch at a regimental level.

Lancashire Fusiliers

There were 30 battalions of Lancashire Fusiliers seeing service during the war. They saw action at Gallipoli as well as the Western Front. Eighteen Lancashire Fusiliers were awarded the Victoria Cross.
