British Wounded
A group of wounded British soldiers recovering at a hospital. At least two of them have injury to their eyes. One in the front row with a bandage across his left eye while in the back row one man has on dark glasses. As sunglasses did not become fashionable until after the war I would assume he is wearing them to protect his damaged eyes.

Fernsprecher Kabel
A group of German soldiers taking a break from digging a trench for a telephone cable. The shovel on the left reads Feldzug 14-16. The one on the left is barely legible. What can be read is Fernsprecher Kabel or telephone cable.
