9. Württembergisches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 127

Six from the 9. Württembergisches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 127. These men from the Kingdom of Württemberg would have spent time of the Western Front.

Family Photo

Mother and father with their two sons.  The woman on the right does not have a wedding ring so I am guessing the wife is on the left. Perhaps the grandparents in the window above. The youngest son has on the uniform of a Saxon hussars.

US Infantry

The collar insignia is a bit blurry but I think he was in the 2nd Regiment, Company B.

Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)

Dated on the back 10/22/15 this soldier is a member of Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). The T on his shoulder strap puts him in the Territorial Forces. Wearing shorts in October might place him in the 1/7th Battalion which was in Egypt and Gallipoli at the time.

4.7 Inch Tractor Battery

The tractor is a Holt 75 hp agricultural tractor. The 4.7 inch gun is a M1906. The US Army had just 60 of these guns in service when they entered the war.
